NFL


  • The Chicago Bears traded off their 1st round pick of the 2023 draft to the Carolina Panthers. The package deal they will receive in return includes multiple 1st round picks (No. 9 and No. 61), 1st roind pick in 2024, 2nd round pick in 2025 and wide receiver D.J. Moore.



  • The Los Angeles Rams released linebacker Leonard Floyd on Friday after 3 seasons. Despite having 3 productive seasons the move was made in an effort to squeeze under the salary cap.



  • The Houston Texans and veteran wide receiver, Robert Woods have come to an agreement on a 2-year, $15.25-million contract. The 30-year-old spent the 2022 season with the Tennessee Titans.





NBA


  • The Los Angeles Lakers held on and picked up their 7th win in the last 9 games, beating the Toronto Raptors 122-112 on Friday night. D’Angelo Russell returned from a 6 game absence due to injury and scored 28 points and had 9 assists.



  • The San Antonio Spurs were able to overcome Nikola Jokics triple-double (37 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists) and beat the Denver Nuggets 128-120 on Friday night. Keldon Johnson scored 23 points, Doug McDermott added 20 points and Jeremy Sochan contributed 19 points for San Antonio.



  • Sacramento King, Domantas Sabonis put up 24 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists for his 9th triple-double of the season, helping lift the Kings over the New York Knicks 122-117. The Kings are 7-1 since coming back from the All-Star break.





MLB


  • The Washington Nationals and catcher Keibert Ruiz have come to an agreement on an 8-year, $50-million contract extension.



  • Philadelphia Phillies top pitching prospect, right-hander Andrew Painter has an ulnar collateral ligament sprain in his right elbow. The 19-year-old will rest for 4 weeks, after experiencing tenderness in that elbow during his March 2nd start.
