Bucs +1 The Bucs regain the top spot after the Chiefs’ loss to Baltimore. Tom Brady is playing on an incredibly elite level and it’s absurd that at 44 years old he’s throwing five touchdowns effortlessly in a game. The biggest test of the season this Sunday as they travel to Los Angeles to take on the #2 Rams.-JW
Rams +1 The acquisition of Matthew Stafford is proving to be paying off very nicely thus far. The real test is on Sunday when the defending champs, Tampa Bay, pay them a visit. -MJ
Cardinals +1 Kyler Murray is making a strong case for MVP early in the year. The off- season acquisitions seem to have given them a much-needed boost in a highly competitive NFC West. -MJ
Chiefs -3 The Ravens finally took down their nemesis in a Sunday Night Classic. The Chiefs come home to take on a Chargers team that can put up points and we could be in for a shootout. -BA
Niners +1 Injuries seem to be piling up once again for the 49ers but they are still staying in the hunt. It will only be a matter of time before Trey Lance takes over. -MJ
Browns -1 Beating the Houston Texans isn’t a major boast but it helps get Cleveland in the win column. When the Browns stick to their ground game, they’re a very tough team to beat. Hopefully, they keep running the ball this week as star receiver Jarvis Landry is on the mend and OBJ has yet to return from injury himself. -JW
Bills +1 After a Week 1 loss at home, the Bills bounced back in a big way against the Dolphins in Miami. The sun is shining again for Bills Mafia and their Super Bowl hopes. -MJ
Raiders +12 They’ve proven me wrong so far. Beating two playoff teams from last season. Derek Carr has been stellar and the WR group has stepped up huge. They take on a Dolphins team that they owe one from last season with a backup QB. 3-0 is in the cards.-BA
Seahawks -2 Seattle blew a 24-9 lead in their home opener, losing 33-30 (OT) to the Titans. With the way the other three teams in the division are playing, the Seahawks’ 1-1 seems like a huge fall from grace. They’re down but far from out. -MJ
Cowboys +4 After a promising effort in Week 1 against the defending champs, the Cowboys continued to impress against a worthy team in the Los Angeles Chargers. A last-minute field goal gave them their first win of 2021.
Packers +1 They’ve been beating Detroit at home forever. It’s like a bad college matchup or 80’s wrestling match that you already know who is going to win. Aaron Jones has his groove going, They head to SF to take on a 2-0 Niners team. -BA
Ravens +3For the second Ravens primetime game in a row, we witnessed an upset with late-game heroics. Fortunately for Lamar Jackson and Baltimore, they were on the winning side in week two. Jackson’s two 4th quarter rushing touchdowns lifted the Ravens over top-ranked Kansas City. Glimpses of MVP Lamar. -JW
Steelers -3 Nothing like a date with the Bengals to help you get over a loss. The Steelers fell to the upstart Raiders and proceeded to fall to 13 in our rankings. Running back Najee Harris proved he’s been in the weight room delivering a stiff arm of the year candidate on Sunday. Wow. -JW
Chargers -3 Tough last-second loss in a game they should’ve won and thrown an end-zone pick in the process. Staley has done a good job with the defensive side. He jumps into the honors class with a game at Arrowhead against a potent Chiefs offense. -JA
Titans +1 Gritty road win for this team, showing why they were ranked so highly before the season. Derrick Henry helped the offense put the pieces together a little bit. They get their first crack at division foe Indianapolis on Sunday. -JW
Broncos +5 The Broncos have beaten teams they are better than while building confidence on both sides of the ball. The Jets are coming to town with an offense that turns the ball over at an alarming rate. -BA
Saints -8 A week after pummeling the Packers, New Orleans was only able to score seven points in a road loss to the Panthers. Adversity may have taken a toll as the Saints lost several coaches to Covid protocols leading up to the game. Luckily they have the Giants on Sunday. -JW
Panthers +6 It’s hard to fully back Sam Darnold after just two games, but he and the Panthers are looking pretty good this season. Carolina is creeping up this list and could be headed for their first 3-0 start in six years. -JW
Dolphins -6 After a road division win in Foxboro, Miami came back down to earth. With a 34-0 blowout loss and Tua’s injured ribs it seems as though this will be a long year for Miami. – MJ
Patriots -1Mac Jones obtained his first NFL victory against the lowly Jets. They can’t think ahead to Week 4 just yet. But they’re on the right track going forward. -MJ
Washington -4 Taylor Heinicke may just be the best story in the NFL today. After studying for finals prior to the team’s Wild Card game last year; he came into the team’s Thursday night victory and was cool, calm, and composed. _MJ
Colts -4 The Colts put up an admirable fight against one of the better teams in the league on Sunday. Wentz sprained both of his ankles in the process and now looks questionable to play on Sunday. Sadly, the last thing you want to see after a tough loss is Derrick Henry for 4 quarters. -JW
Bears +1 Matt Nagy is in a spot where he can hand the keys over to Fields while Dalton comes back from injury. They’ve got an awesome interconference challenge against a team among the elite. The battle between the fronts should be an intriguing one. -BA
Eagles +1 The Eagles came back down to earth in Week 2 after showing some signs of life in Week 1 in Atlanta. The team overall is just very underwhelming. -MJ
Vikings +1 A heartbreaking loss in the desert. The Vikings are competitive and able to play with good teams while not really being one. Seattle comes to town with a lethal passing attack, is another shootout in the making? -BA
Bengals -3 Everyone in the AFC North stands at 1-1 on the young season. That being said, the Bengals could either take control with a division win this Sunday or take their usual place in the basement. -JW
Texans – After a respectable effort against the Browns, the Texans stand pat at 27 on the rankings. Davis Mills steps in for Tyrod Taylor at Quarterback with the undefeated Panthers coming to town on Thursday. If Houston can bottle up Christian McCaffrey they have a chance. -JW
Falcons +1The Falcons offense showed signs of life against Tampa Bay on Sunday, but sadly they were still blown out. Quarterback Matt Ryan has thrown four touchdowns on the season. Two to his receivers and two to Buccaneers safety Mike Edwards. -JW
Giants +1 There appears to be a lot of turmoil on both New York squads. Daniel Jones looked better in Week 2, but the Giants can’t get anything going and players are visibly frustrated. _MJ
Lions +1 You’ll get spurts of good play and then the LIONS. The truth is they’re not good and neither is their coach. Baltimore comes to town Week #3 off an incredible win. -BA
Jets +1 Zach Wilson’s home debut didn’t go as expected. The rookie QB threw 4 interceptions and got booed by the home crowd; sometimes potential isn’t enough when the franchise has been incompetent for so long. -MJ
Jaguars -4 Jacksonville has opened the season with back-to-back double-digit losses. Their reward? A clash with NFC Heavyweight Arizona. The Cardinals are averaging 36 points a game and showing no signs of slowing up. Next stop for the Jaguars: 0-3. -JW
MJ, J Walton and Buddy give you the Power Rankings of the NFL. Game of the Week coming up is very obvious.
