Pros: Lawrence has been the starter for Clemson since he was a true freshman. He has all the tools of an elite passer. He has elite arm talent, football intelligence, and athletics. Lawrence has precise touch and good ball placement. He stands tall in the pocket and shows good pocket presence including footwork. Lawrence is comfortable with making tight-window throws and he doesn’t look rattled in broken down plays. He has the ability to diagnose the defensive coverages and shows good pre-snap awareness.

Cons: Lawrence lacks the body armor to hold up to NFL hits and has a very lanky frame. He had some issues with his deep ball, inconsistent accuracy to place the ball. He appears to lock in on his wr before the snap and keeps his eyes locked on his wr while waiting for an opening.

Pros: Wilson is a 3 year starter for BYU. He finished his career with over a 70% completion percentage. He has a low touchdown to interception ratio. Wilson is a gunslinging QB and very competitive. He has experience in a pro-style offensive system. Wilson has a rocket release and can get rid of the ball quickly. He has above average pocket poise, shows good patience while scanning the field, and keeps his vision downfield. Wilson is excellent at throwing to open receivers on comeback or sideline timing routes. Shows great accuracy while on the move.

Cons: Wilson has some injury concerns. He needed surgery to fix his broken thumb in his 2nd season, needed offseason shoulder surgery to fix a torn labrum. Wilson’s arm strength and ball velocity are not elite and he can put too much air under the ball when throwing downfield. He tries to do too much on every play which results in poor sacks and interceptions.
