Cole Strange Pick Proves Bill is Listening but not Hearing Me

After my initial outrage at the Patriots choice of Cole Strange in the First Round. I said to myself. You called this Murph, why are you so shocked. For weeks now on One Patriots Place you have been asking the likes of NBC Boston’s, Phil Perry – NFL Networks, Mike Giardi – Sports Illustrated, Mike D’ Abate and CLNS Media’s, Even Lazar.

The Pats are going to trade down, break my heart and take a guard aren’t they ?

And each and everyone one of them said. There’s a real chance of that Murph. Well it happened. What’s upset me and most of you out there is the amount of playmaking talent at other real positions of need was left on the board. LB Nakobe Dean –  CB Andrew Booth – WR George Pickens – OT Bernhard Raimann – DL Travis Jones and WR John Metchie. And that’s off the top of my head. All positions the Patriots need to find impact players in this draft. Not to mention the talent that went where the Patriots had been at 21. Look it up if i list them i may have a stroke.

Some league insight on Chattanooga guard Cole Strange, who went to the Patriots at 29. "Tough, gritty, should have a chance to start (as a rookie)." "Decent player." Teams valued him as a 2nd/3rd rounder. "Reach at this point." "Most shocking pick of the first round." — Jeff Howe (@jeffphowe) April 29, 2022

But Cole Strange was the choice, Bill went Safe and filled a need. A need I thought could actually happen in Rd 4 . A need he has filled quite nicely outside of the first round. and I wasn’t alone in that assessment. This move truly shocked Patriots Nation and rightfully so. Not because of the talent of the player, but where he was taken and who was there for the taking. Anyway, welcome to New England Cole. I hope you get a gold jacket one day.
