We’re moving along here on Day Three. Here are my favorite picks/matches of Round 5.
5-144: Washington Commanders- Sam Howell (QB) UNC
Before last College Season, Howell was projected to be one of the first names called in Vegas. He lost a lot of weapons, which led to a regress. The slide finally stops with the Commanders, who are counting on the oft-injured Carson Wentz to be the signal-caller. We will see Howell sooner rather than later.
5-150: Houston Texans- Thomas Booker (DL) Stanford
Highly intelligent, versatile defensive front piece. It doesn’t matter if it’s an even or odd front, he can play a position and contribute. He’ll be a steady pro who may never wow, just be a fan favorite in Houston.
5-151: Atlanta Falcons- Tyler Allgeier (RB) BYU
Another nice, young Offensive piece for Arthur Smith. He runs with great power, the review on the Atlanta draft will be a good one. Allgeier is a nice, late-round fantasy RB.
5-160: L.A Chargers- Ottito Ogbonnia (IDL) UCLA
The Chargers have made huge moves to be ready for the air attack. What hurt the Chargers last year was teams running at will. Ogbonnia, provides a big body to clog up the middle.
5-163: Tennessee Titans- Kyle Phillips (WR) He’s best in the slot but can move around. Now you can run 3-wide sets with Burks, Robert Woods and Phillips. Big turnover but great work by the Titans.
