Less than 24 hours after being eliminated from the NBA Playoffs, the Boston Celtics have already made a huge shakeup in their team’s hierarchy. According to multiple sources, after 18 years as Director of Basketball Operations, Boston Celtics’ Danny Ainge has stepped down from his position as President of Basketball Operations.

Brad Stevens, Boston’s head coach for the past eight seasons, is now stepping up to run the day-to-day operations of the franchise. The position now open – Head Coach of the Boston Celtics.
