Braves Joc and Roll to 2-1 NLDS Lead over Brewers

Joc Pederson came off the bench again Monday and ripped his second pinch hit HR of the 2021 NLDS.  His 3-run blast charged the Braves to a 3-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. With two on and one out Pederson came to the plate and launched a mammoth shot into the right field bleachers, and that was all the offense the Braves would need.

Backed up by some fantastic defense and of course stellar pitching.

Here you can see why Dansby Swanson’s glove is so beloved in the ATL as he ends the Brew Crew best chance to to get on the board Monday afternoon.

Ian Anderson picked up the rosin bag that Charlie Morton and Max Fried left in Milwaukee and carried it into game three. Anderson was dazzling in the matinée . Ian pitched five innings and struck out six batters. He only gave up three hits and didn’t surrender a run. Anderson has been in the majors for just over a year but he has already pitched in a NLCS Game 7 in 2020 and now a pivotal NLDS game three here in 2021

Ian Anderson. 5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K, 84 pitches. 4SFB command wavered today. Went to his CH arm side low and complimented with the CB glove side low in the zone. Got into and out of the jam in the 5th. Generated 14 swings and misses. 0.76 postseason ERA in 5 starts. — hashim (@___hash___) October 11, 2021

Through three games, Atlanta’s starters have been borderline untouchable. Striking out out 24 batters and have a combined 1.06 ERA according to Braves stats.
