Boston Bats Stay Hot in Chi-town

Chicago: Kiké Hernández took no time in reminding everyone who the hottest team in Major League Baseball is. It’s the Boston Red Sox. I had barely sat down with my first beer when Enrique got Suave with the first pitch White Sox righty Dylan Cease threw in the game, and deposited it over the left field wall. He also ripped an RBI double in the top of the second.

YOUR DAILY REMINDER THAT I LOVE KIKÈ HERNANDEZ — Alysia (@fikklefrog) May 22, 2022

After the Game Kiké had this to say

“I just saw it like I was going to seize the opportunity to hit the first pitch of the game,” Hernández said. “There’s probably not a better outcome to start a game than that.”

Can Confirm

The Red Sox were ruthless at the dish last night, after Hernandez set the tone, Trevor Story , Rafael Devers and Christian Vazquez all sent Balls over walls. J.D Martinez went  4 – for – 5 and scored 3 runs . Jackie Bradley stayed hot going 2-for-4 with RBI and his third double in the past two games. Only Xander Bogaerts failed to get an RBI last night. ( Pay the Man )

Boston set season highs in many categories last night. Runs 16 – Hits 19 – Extra base hits 9 – Home runs 4  – and me jumping out of my seat and scaring my wife – Eleven.

Nick Pivetta wasn’t waitin for no goddam umpire to tell him he just threw strike three, HE KNEW HE JUST THREW STRIKE THREE — Red (@SurvivingGrady) May 25, 2022

Nick Pivetta was also a bit of brilliant on the hill last night

Pivetta took the hill at “Guaranteed Rate Field” ( God I hate typing that It’s Comiskey Park people OMG) anyway Nicky P looked to be on another run mowing down the first nine batters he faced. On just thirty pitches. Then i jinxed the poor bastard tweeting just that and he gave up two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth before working around a double and a walk in the sixth to end his evening. He gave up just the three runs on five hits and struck out 5 on the night for the W.  SawamuraMatt Barnes and Tyler Danish finished off the Chicago lineup giving up just one hit over the last three frames. Not too shabby.

The Red Sox have won 6 games in a row. They have outscored their opponents by 32 runs in those games. They have a legitimate chance to be over .500 by the end of May even though they were 10-19 at one point during this month. Keep. It. GOING — Steve Perrault (@Steve_Perrault) May 25, 2022

Throughout the month of April and into May the Sox looked like a .500 ball club. They hit when they couldn’t pitch and pitched when they couldn’t hit. In their first 29 games they had scored just 95 runs. They have plated the same 95 in their past 13 contests. And are eleven and two since being swept by these same White Sox. Again Not too Shabby
