Big Vince Wilfork Set to Enter Patriots Hall Of Fame

Big Vince Wilfork will be fitted for a Patriots Red Jacket as you the fans have voted him to be enshrined into the Patriots Hall Of Fame. He is just the sixth player to be voted into the hall on their first opportunity.

#Patriots legend Vince Wilfork is speaking with media via conference call on being voted as the 32nd inductee of @TheHall “Mr. Kraft was the first one to let me know that I was elected to the [Pats] Hall of Fame…being able to get that beautiful news, it means the world to me” — Mike D'Abate (@mdabateNFL) May 17, 2022

“It’s my pleasure to announce Vince Wilfork as our 2022 Patriots Hall of Fame selection. For more than a decade, Vince was a dominant defender in the trenches and anchored some of the best defenses in franchise history. His contributions on the field propelled the Patriots to four Super Bowl appearances during his 11-year career. He was a big man with an even bigger personality and a huge heart. He quickly became a fan favorite in New England. I look forward to presenting him his Patriots Hall of Fame jacket.”

My favorite Vince Wilfork trivia bit is that he's the only player other than Tom Brady to have rings from both of the Patriots' Super Bowl trilogies (2004 and 2014) — Alex Barth (@RealAlexBarth) May 17, 2022

Big Vince bookended his eleven years in New England with Super Bowl victories in XXXIX and XLIX. The Miami man was drafted in 2004 with the twenty seventh selection and was an immediate contributor to his teams success. Wilfork played in all sixteen games that season and started in six. making twenty seven solo and forty six total tackles to go along with two sacks. And He never slowed down. Vince ended his career here in New England with 517 total tackles and 16 total sacks. Five times the big man was voted to the Pro Bowl, and he played in the second most playoff games as a DT than any player in NFL history. Trailing only the Cowboys Larry Cole .

Next Stop Canton ?

Does Wilfork Believe he belongs in Canton ? if you read what he had to say yesterday after the announcement you bet he does.

Here was Vince Wilfork’s full answer on why he was one of the best two-gapping nose tackles to ever play in the NFL. Should send this straight to @ProFootballHOF voters. #Patriots pic.twitter.com/PzKN93HQiS — Evan Lazar (@ezlazar) May 17, 2022

No arguments here.

Vince Wilfork is a true legend. A man who walked in here set to work and never took a day off. I don’t know about you but i plan on being at his enshrinement. This is one speech  that you wont want to miss. One you will want to hear in person.
