Jameson Taillon pitched seven innings, struck out six, and gave up three runs against the Mariners. Aaron Judge went 2-for-4 with a home run. Josh Donaldson went 4-for-5 with a home run. The Yankees won 9-4.
Gerrit Cole pitched seven scoreless innings and struck out eight. Horrible baserunning in extra innings resulted in a 1-0 loss.Â
Nestor Cortes pitched six innings, struck out 10, and gave up three runs. Judge hit his 45th home run of the year. Kyle Higashioka hit his 7th home run of the year. The Yankees lost 4-3.

BOSTON RED SOX ()
Rich Hil pitched four innings and gave up four runs against the Braves. J.D. Martinez went 1-for-4. Alex Verdugo went 3-for-5. Christian Arroyo went 2-for-5. The Sox lost 9-7.
Nick Pivetta pitched six innings, struck out five, and gave up three runs. Bobby Dalbec went 2-for-4. The Sox lost 8-4.
Josh Winckowski pitched 5.2 innings, struck out two, and gave up three runs against the Orioles. Xander Bogaerts and Eric Hosmer both went 2-for-3. The Sox won 4-3.
The Yankees are in town for the weekend. Nathan Eovaldi and Kutter Crawford are scheduled to pitch.
TAMPA BAY RAYS ()
Jimmy Yacabonis pitched one scoreless inning against the Brewers. Yandy Diaz hit his 6th home run of the year. The Rays lost 5-3.
Jeffrey Springs pitched five innings, struck out eight, and gave up two runs. David Peralta went 2-for-4. Randy Arozarena and Yu Chang each homered. The Rays lost 4-3.
The Orioles come into town for the weekend. Corey Kluber, Shane McClanahan, and Drew Rasmussen are scheduled to pitch.Â
TORONTO BLUE JAYS ()
Yusei Kikuchi pitched five innings, struck out four, and gave up five runs against the Orioles. Alejandro Kirk went 2-for-5. The Jays lose 7-4.
Alek Manoah pitched five innings, struck out five, and gave up three runs. Kirk went 3-for-4. Bo Bichette went 2-for-4. The Jays lost 6-5.
With the series’ final game postponed due to weather, the Jays head back home to face the Guardians. Jose Berrios is scheduled to pitch.
BALTIMORE ORIOLES ()
Jordan Lyles pitched 5.2 innings, struck out one, and gave up two runs against the Blue Jays. Ryan Mountcastle went 2-for-3 with a walk and a home run. Austin Hays went 2-for-4 with a home run. Anthony Santander went 2-for-3 with a walk and a home run. The O’s won 7-4.
Kyle Bradish went 5.1 innings, struck out four, and gave up three runs. Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 with a home run. Cedric Mullins went 2-for-4. The O’s won 6-5.
The O’s head to Tampa for a 3-game series against the Rays.Â
