The Lions finished the season strong and come into the NFL Draft with multiple picks in the early rounds. The Defense is what needs improvement, here we go:
1-6: Myles Murphy (EDGE) Clemson- Opposite Hutchinson, they can put some great outside pressure together
1-18: Cam Smith (CB) South Carolina- Pair some great coverage with the pass rush and the Lions get off the field more on 3rd down.
2-48: Darnell Washington (TE) Georgia- The 6'7" athletic freak is just a nice addition to a good collection of different and unique skill players.
2-55: Mazi Smith (DT) Michigan- This is called building a front.
3-81: Henry To'oto'o (LB) Alabama- Another playmaker on the defense, he has some versatility.
5-154: DeMarvion Overshown (LB) Texas- The league looks for more players in sub-packages. Overshown fits the bill as an athletic Off-The-Ball LB.
6-183: Jartavius Martin (S) Illinois- Adding more depth and ST skills to the secondary.
6-194: Jaxson Kirkland (OL) Washington- Versatility and a steal if healthy.
